Sustainability is not just a chapter, but part of our DNA

Sustainability is close to our hearts – which is why we offer a carefully curated selection of products that combine environmental awareness, quality and beautiful design. From creative crochet kits made from natural and recycled materials, to innovative notebooks made from rePET, apple leather and olive leather, right through to plastic-free Nature Cards and compostable napkins: many of our products are made from renewable raw materials, using resource-efficient manufacturing processes and sustainable packaging solutions. In this way, we aim to show that stylish products and responsible practices can go hand in hand.

Castelli Milano not only has the most beautiful notebooks in the world, but also offers a range of sustainable products. Take, for example, the Eden and Stripes ranges, which are made from rePET – that is, recycled plastic. And it’s all Made in Italy.

bsb Obpacher’s Nature Cards are the top-selling greeting cards – not only because of their beautiful designs, but also thanks to their sustainable concept: completely plastic-free, with a paper sleeve instead of cellophane, and using mineral oil- and cobalt-free inks made from renewable raw materials. Environmentally friendly and resource-efficient!

Many of our Paper+Design napkins carry the TÜV Austria seal of approval and are fully compostable even at low temperatures. After use, they can easily be disposed of in your own garden compost, where they break down without leaving any residue, whilst at the same time making a valuable contribution to natural soil improvement.

With its ‘Go Green’ gift ribbons, Goldina is making a conscious effort to use renewable raw materials, avoid unnecessary packaging waste, dye the ribbons with water-based dyes and refrain from using solvents. The Hohenstein Institute has confirmed that the products are biodegradable and are broken down in the soil by microorganisms. Their toxicological safety was verified using cress and earthworm tests.

Oleatex is an innovative material that replaces 70 per cent of conventional PU with olive by-products. In line with this sustainable approach, Castelli creates not only high-quality notebook covers but also a complete collection of accessories – from card holders and luggage tags to bags and rucksacks. ‘Made in Italy’ quality meets responsible material innovation

Get ready for the EUDR with our expert Christine

With our sustainability expert Christine Spari on board, we are well prepared for the requirements of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which comes into force on 30 December 2026.

As retail experts and advisory partners, we support our clients in implementing the new requirements, keep a close eye on regulatory developments and ensure that our solutions are always up to date.

Our curated products also already meet the relevant EUDR requirements, thereby offering certainty and guidance for future-proof product range planning.

Sustainability doesn’t end with the product

We are also committed to sustainability in our operational infrastructure and logistics: through energy-efficient LED lighting, our own solar panel system and the gradual expansion of our fleet with electric vehicles, we are sustainably reducing our energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. At the same time, we ensure that our packaging is environmentally friendly and as precisely tailored as possible to avoid unnecessary packaging material and ‘empty runs’. We also endeavour to consolidate deliveries and transport as much as possible to further reduce emissions.
